Esistono materiali che per la loro infinita potenza continuano a colpirci. Grazie alla loro fossilizzazione, e agli oggetti di pietra che si sono conservati, essi sono destinati a rimanere per l’eternità un’unità di misura del tempo.
Come colpiti dagli occhi di Medusa, il fascino della memoria si è rinnovato trasformando tutto il mondo in pietra lasciando immobile il passaggio delle ere. Tuttavia nella condizione di immobilità dell’attimo presente, possiamo colpire e modificare il senso e il limite delle cose.
Nello spazio di gum a Carrara il primo di agosto 2009, aprirà la mostra “The greatest hit – colpire il tempo”.
Invitati a riflettere sulla lavorazione della pietra, gli interventi proposti da Gianandrea Poletta, Martino Genchi, Andrea De Stefani, Andrea Galiazzo ed Emiliano Pistacchi inseguono una nozione che si distacca dalle aspettative classiche.
I giovani artisti si ritrovano nella condizione di confrontare lo spazio della galleria e della città in solo cinque giorni dall’apertura della mostra. Le loro opere svelando una tensione verso il presente colpiscono un valore temporale della scultura.
